2000 AD is a British science fiction comic book, which has been publishing for nearly 50 years 1977, famed for its dark British humour, and satirical and subversive stories. The jewel in the crown is Judge Dredd, a dystopian cyberpunk icon, whilst The Fall of Deadworld is a kind of an alternative history prequel series about Judge Dredd enemy Judge Death. ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK: ESCAPE FROM CHICAGO #2
From the publisher –
Chicago’s prison territories are tightly controlled by militarized factions. The Stockyard Nation controls the industrial south side, running brutal scavenger operations through abandoned slaughterhouses. The Magnificent Mile Syndicate operates out of the city’s former financial district, ruling through organized crime and calculated violence. Along the shoreline, the Lakefront Raiders dominate the highways with fast-moving vehicle gangs. Snake knows how to move through hostile territory, but Chicago is different. Here, every neighborhood is claimed, every street watched. And the eyes watching him closest belong to the very woman who’s hired him to guide her. There’s bad blood between Maya Torres and Snake Plissken…And if they can survive the macheted maniacs on all sides, they’ll have to contend with each other. Chapter two of the genre-breaking thriller!
Escape From New York is a cult dystopian movie from 1981, starring Kurt Russell as the ex-military anti-hero Snake Plissken sent into a lawless Manhattan Island to rescue the president. The 1996 sequel, Escape From L.A. was not received as well as the original, and our understanding is that the new comic follows on from the original, bypassing the sequel. There have been a number of Escape From New York comics from various publishers over the years, but this one wipes the slate clean on that front as well.
DENVER #3
From the publisher –
Max has finally reached a breaking point with his wife’s kidnappers and, with his most trusted allies by his side, has taken matters into his own hands to get her back. But when a shocking revelation shatters his world and everything he believed, it soon becomes a race against time to save the city from total systemic destruction, countless deaths, and absolute chaos. Will Max be able to stop this insidious enemy before it’s too late, or is this the end of everything he’s worked so hard to build all these long years? Either way, nothing will ever be the same in Denver after this, especially Max himself. It’s the stunning conclusion from Jimmy Palmiotti, Justin Gray & Pier Brito.
The Denver comic series is set in a future Earth where the rising sea level has created a dystopia, ad resources are scarce, and the populace is tightly-controlled in designated safe zones. The protagonist, Max Flynn, is a border control officer who is forced to go rogue when his wife is kidnapped, and the perpetrator uses this leverage to control Flynn’s actions.

ARCADIA #9
From the publisher –
Fix and Halu get nearer to Arcadia, reaching a train station that used to take travelers over the last part of their journey to the fabled city. The closer they get, however, the more Halu becomes worried for Fix’s health, and the more he must deny the signs that Arcadia may not be the utopia he was promised — if it even exists at all!
The epic miniseries from the Eisner-nominated Miranda Bros. (We Live) enters its final stretch. This issue boasts a variant cover by popular cover artist Jenny Frison!
The Arcadia series is set in a future without humanity. A new form of life has emerged from Superdragons, mysterious technological chrysalises. These beings, the Serants, store their consciousness in a biotechnical core known as a pearl. The series follows Halu as he searches for the mythical Arcadia.

In a London fallen to gang control, sealed off from the rest of the world, retired super criminal Theo Deviant is bored.
Corrupt corporations run the city, trading with the rest of the world, offending his anarchist instincts.

Having reached its Kickstarter goal, and with only a few days left of the campaign, The Patrolman was created as part of the 20th anniversary celebrations of Time Bomb Comics. AVALON #1
From the publisher –
Set in the year 3164, AVALON takes place in a megacity-state built from what was once the United States and all of Europe, a vertical sprawl of neon, rain, and body modification. Humanity has entered a transhumanist age run by consumerism, and the key to immortality lies in cloning Consciousness.
Nico is a Runner, a mercenary who moves small, precious cargo through Avalon’s underworld without asking questions. Her partner Epsy, a brilliant hacker, guides her through the city’s alleys and bridges from the chair. When a routine run descends into chaos, the pair uncover secrets that could change the trajectory of humanity and put them in the sights of Hale Atlan, the CEO of the centuries-old Atlan Industries and a woman who will stop at nothing for immortality.
Already fully funded on Kickstarter, but still with a week left of the campaign, Avalon is a vast, vertical megacity-state, and is a combination of the former United States and Europe. POV character Epsy, a pragmatic altruist, is a hacker, and is effectively the support agent for her girlfriend, loudmouth Nico. Nico is a runner, specialising in transporting illicit packages through the vast megacity, whilst avoiding the attention of the large corporations that rule Avalon. You can get on board on the Kickstarter page –https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/apollocitycomics/avalon-1-0
