This week sees the release of Blade Runner: Tokyo Nexus: To Lose is to Win #4. Writer Nancy A. Collins and artist Mariano Taibo combine on this fourth and final issue, published by Titan Comics. The issues have been published month on month, with the fourth and final part due due today, 12th August.

From the publisher –

While deployed years ago in a Kalanthia conflict zone, Mead and her Replicant partner Stix were betrayed by a traitor within the corporation they fought for. Left for dead, the pair managed to escape back to Earth, to seek justice in Tokyo.

Caught up in a yakuza turf war involving dangerous bootleg Replicants, Stix confronts Rumiko, an enigmatic Blade Runner dispatched by the Tyrell Corp to investigate the Cheshire Group, which is pursuing the creation of a deadly new generation of Replicants.

Titan Comics’ series of Blade Runner comics has been keeping the franchise alive since their first series, Blade Runner 2019, was published in, yes, 2019. Set in the same canon as the 1982 Blade Runner movie, and Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049. This is looking like the last slated comic, though there is sure to be a collected edition of the 4 individual comics coming soon. We recently got the first trailer for the TV series, Blade Runner 2099, which premieres on Amazon Prime Video on November 25, 2026, and will drop all 8 episodes in one go. The trailer looks promising, with a similar look to the original movie, and you can watch it at the bottom of the page. It may well be that future comics will follow on from the canon of the show, but only time will tell on that.
